"I'm gonna be working late again."  "Fine."  "Don't bother making dinner for me, I'll get some on the way back."  "'k"  "Well, see you."  "Bye."  The dialing tone was all that greeted me. I could probably imagine that my Dad had said words of comfort but they were swallowed by the dialing tone. If I listened really closely, I could probably hear them.....  But I couldn't be bothered with that kids stuff.  When I was a kid, I used to get prozes for drawing the most original drawings.
